Samsung Galaxy S25 is one of those devices that tries to pack a lot into one package. Let us see if Samsung has managed to put together a phone that is actually worth your money. Announced in 2025, January 22, it arrives at a time when the competition is as tight as ever.
Design & Display
Up front there is a 6.2 inches, 94.4 cm 2 (~91.1% screen-to-body ratio) screen, pushing a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~416 ppi density). Colours look punchy and text stays clean, so you will not have much to complain about here. It is not trying to reinvent the wheel with its design, but it does look the part. You can pick it up in a few finishes, including Icy Blue.
Performance & Software
Under the hood you will find the Qualcomm SM8750-AC Snapdragon 8 Elite (3 nm), paired with 12GB of RAM, which means smooth scrolling, quick app switching and no real hiccups in normal use. It runs Android 15, upgradable to Android 17, up to 7 major OS updates, One UI 9 out of the box, so the software experience feels current.
Camera
Photography is handled by a main 50 MP shooter that should cover most situations, from daylight shots to the occasional low-light frame. It is not a pro camera rig, but for everyday memories it gets the job done nicely.
Battery
Keeping the lights on is a Li-Ion 4000 mAh cell. With moderate use you can expect to end the day with charge to spare.
Our Opinion
Coming to the important bit, our opinion on the Samsung Galaxy S25. This is a phone that does not try to be the flashiest option on the shelf, and honestly that works in its favour. It gets the basics right, offering a dependable main camera, a crisp display, which is exactly what most buyers are really after. If your priority is a phone that just works, day in and day out, then this one deserves a spot on your shortlist. Is it perfect? No phone is, and you will always find a sharper camera or a faster chip somewhere else for a little more money. Even so, the Samsung Galaxy S25 holds its own and represents a solid, no-nonsense buy.
