Phone Opinions Review

Samsung has added another interesting option to its lineup with the all-new Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+, and on paper it looks like a device that wants to be your daily driver. Announced in 2026, September 30, it arrives at a time when the competition is as tight as ever.

Design & Display

Up front there is a 12.6 inches, 460.6 cm 2 (~84.7% screen-to-body ratio) screen, pushing a resolution of 1752 x 2800 pixels, 16:10 ratio (~262 ppi density), which is more than sharp enough for everyday use, streaming and a bit of gaming. It is not trying to reinvent the wheel with its design, but it does look the part. You can pick it up in a few finishes, including Gray.

Performance & Software

Powering the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 (3 nm), paired with 12GB of RAM, which means smooth scrolling, quick app switching and no real hiccups in normal use. It runs Android 17, up to 7 major OS updates, One UI 9 out of the box, so the software experience feels current.

Camera

Photography is handled by a main 13 MP shooter that should cover most situations, from daylight shots to the occasional low-light frame. It is not a pro camera rig, but for everyday memories it gets the job done nicely.

Battery

Battery duties are handled by a Li-Po 10600 mAh unit, and that is a healthy number that keeps range anxiety at bay.

Our Opinion

So, what do we actually make of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+? What you are getting is a device that quietly covers the fundamentals rather than shouting about them. It gets the basics right, offering strong battery life, a dependable main camera, a crisp display, which is exactly what most buyers are really after. For someone who simply wants a dependable daily driver that will not let them down halfway through the day, this ticks a lot of boxes. Is it perfect? No phone is, and you will always find a sharper camera or a faster chip somewhere else for a little more money. Even so, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ holds its own and represents a solid, no-nonsense buy. If you have used this device or are planning to pick one up, do let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
