Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is one of those devices that tries to pack a lot into one package. Let us see if Samsung has managed to put together a phone that is actually worth your money. Announced in 2020, January 03, it arrives at a time when the competition is as tight as ever.
Design & Display
On the front you get a 6.7 inches, 107.8 cm 2 (~87.8% screen-to-body ratio) panel, pushing a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio (~394 ppi density), which is more than sharp enough for everyday use, streaming and a bit of gaming. The build feels well put together, and Samsung has clearly paid attention to the in-hand feel. You can pick it up in a few finishes, including Prism White.
Performance & Software
Under the hood you will find the Qualcomm SM8150 Snapdragon 855 (7 nm), paired with 6GB of RAM. For the kind of tasks most of us throw at a phone, there is plenty of muscle here. It runs Android 10, upgradable to Android 13, One UI 5 out of the box, so the software experience feels current.
Camera
On the camera side, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is led by a 48 MP main sensor (48 MP, f/2.0, 26mm (wide), 1/2.0", 0.8µm, PDAF, Super Steady OIS 12 MP, f/2.2, 12mm (ultra…). Point-and-shoot results are reliable, and that is exactly what most buyers want.
Battery
Battery duties are handled by a Li-Po 4500 mAh, non-removable unit, and that is a healthy number that keeps range anxiety at bay.
Our Opinion
Coming to the important bit, our opinion on the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite. This is a phone that does not try to be the flashiest option on the shelf, and honestly that works in its favour. It gets the basics right, offering strong battery life, a dependable main camera, a crisp display, which is exactly what most buyers are really after. If your priority is a phone that just works, day in and day out, then this one deserves a spot on your shortlist. You could nitpick a few things, as you can with any phone in this bracket. Overall though, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is easy to recommend to the right buyer.
