Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 3G is one of those devices that tries to pack a lot into one package. Let us see if Samsung has managed to put together a phone that is actually worth your money. Announced in 2014, January. Released 2014, March, it arrives at a time when the competition is as tight as ever.
Design & Display
On the front you get a 12.2 inches, 431.6 cm 2 (~71.6% screen-to-body ratio) panel, pushing a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, 16:10 ratio (~247 ppi density), which is more than sharp enough for everyday use, streaming and a bit of gaming. The build feels well put together, and Samsung has clearly paid attention to the in-hand feel. You can pick it up in a few finishes, including Black.
Performance & Software
At the heart of it sits the Exynos 5420 Octa (28 nm), paired with 3GB of RAM. That combination should handle day-to-day multitasking and most games without breaking a sweat. It runs Android 4.4 (KitKat), TouchWiz UI out of the box, so the software experience feels current.
Camera
On the camera side, the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 3G is led by a 8 MP main sensor. Point-and-shoot results are reliable, and that is exactly what most buyers want.

Keeping the lights on is a Li-Ion 9500 mAh, non-removable cell. With moderate use you can expect to end the day with charge to spare.
Our Opinion
After spending time with the spec sheet and what Samsung is promising, here is where we land. Samsung has clearly gone for substance over gimmicks here, and we respect that approach. It gets the basics right, offering strong battery life, a dependable main camera, a crisp display, which is exactly what most buyers are really after. If your priority is a phone that just works, day in and day out, then this one deserves a spot on your shortlist. There are rivals that beat it in one area or another, as is always the case in this segment. Overall though, the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 3G is easy to recommend to the right buyer.
