Xiaomi released the annual update to their skin of Android known as MIUI earlier this year. This update was named as the MIUI 10 update and is slated to be available for all Xiaomi devices by the end of this year. Now, we have started to get information about the update coming in the stable form to Xiaomi smartphones. First up in this list is the Xiaomi Mi 5 which is not new by any means. This smartphone was released by Xiaomi a few years ago in their flagship Mi lineup.
Now, Xiaomi Mi 5 users are reportedly receiving the MIUI 10 update on their handsets. Also, it is interesting to note that this update is available as a Global Stable build rather than Beta builds which are already available. It is worth mentioning that Xiaomi has already made the MIUI 10 update available to Redmi Y3 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro already. Apart from that, the MIUI 10 update is also available for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S and the Mi 8 as well. Also, it is a reminder that the Xiaomi Mi 5 was released 3 years ago by the company and it is getting the latest update to MIUI.
The build number of the MIUI 10 update is V10.0.1.0.OAAMIFH. This update will set you back approximately 550 MB in your data pack as it is a fairly large 549 MB update. However, it is understandable that the update will be quite large in size as it contains various major and minor improvements over the last version of MIUI.
As for the changes, MIUI 10 introduces improvements like new natural sounds, new gestures, UI for full-screen devices, camera improvements, AI features, etc. Now, if you own a Mi 5 and you are eager to get the MIUI 10 update then go to your Settings application and navigate to the Check for Updates section. If you see that a new update has arrived, make sure to download and install the update on your device.
