Xiaomi and Oppo expected to launch foldable smartphones by next year

In the current times, we know that every smartphone manufacturer is looking for something new. For instance, we know that most of the OEMs are releasing smartphones with bezel-less displays.

Also, smartphones are now starting to have a notch as well. However, we recently saw Vivo innovate on its Vivo Nex with a pop-up selfie camera. Also, Oppo released its flagship smartphone, the Find X with a sliding camera module. However, we have noted that these innovations are few and far in between. Otherwise, the smartphones are identical to each other in design.

Now, the major invention in the smartphone industry is yet to be seen by anyone currently. Everyone has been trying to find a new idea to remove the bezels entirely without compromising on anything. Therefore, we have come to a solution of having foldable smartphones in the near future.

Now, we heard about reports stating that Samsung could launch a foldable smartphone named Galaxy X by next year. Today, we are starting to hear more about foldable smartphones from different OEMs. Specifically, these OEMs are Xiaomi and Oppo. We have learned that Xiaomi and Oppo are starting to invest in foldable smartphones as well. So much so that the foldable smartphones from these companies could be coming by next year.

Talking about foldable smartphones, these handsets will have foldable displays first of all. Talking about the design aspect, these smartphones will have a display that can be folded into half. Also, it is known that these smartphones are expected to come at a premium.

For instance, Samsung Galaxy X is rumored to be priced at $2000. However, Xiaomi is manufacturing a foldable smartphone and the company has vowed to remain affordable which means that its foldable counterpart will be a much better value for money composition. Reportedly, Xiaomi has started the production of its foldable smartphone as well.
