The Nokia 6 (2018) was launched in China in two versions – one with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage for CNY 1499 (approximately Rs 14,600) and one using 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for CNY 1699 (roughly Rs 16,600). The smartphone is placed to go on sale in China on January 10. The company has already started accepting pre-orders for the smartphone.
The dual-SIM (Nano) Nokia 6 (2018) runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. The handset can also be expected to receive an update to Android 8.0 Oreo sometime in the future. However, the firm has not thus far provided any official details about the latest Android upgrade. On the display part, the Nokia 6 (2018) features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC, which can be clocked at 2.2GHz, coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM.
Additionally, the internal storage of the brand new Nokia 6 is upgradable via microSD card slot (up to 128GB) in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration. Unlike the first Nokia 6 model that was launched back in January a year ago with a front-facing fingerprint scanner, the Nokia 6 (2018) includes a fingerprint scanner to the back. The smartphone has also dropped the capacitive keys which were available on alongside the fingerprint scanner on the previous Nokia handset.
In terms of Camera, the phone has a single-camera system on either side of the phone. The rear camera has a 16 MP sensor and the front an 8 MP sensor, which is the same as that of the earlier Nokia 6.
The 3,000 mAh battery and other connectivity options remain the exact same too. The Nokia 6 32 GB variant has been priced at CNY 1,499 (around Rs 15,000) and the 64 GB version has been priced at CNY 1,699 (around Rs 17,000). Nokia 6 (2018) is offered in Black with orange accents and White with red accents color variants.
