Honor has just announced a new color variant of the Honor Play. To recall, Honor Play was launched by Huawei’s subsidiary company Honor earlier this year. Honor Play is a higher mid-range smartphone from the company and is available for a starting price of Rs. 19,999 in India. This smartphone was launched with Huawei’s Kirin 970 processor which has AI capabilities.
Apart from the Kirin 970 AI processor, Honor Play also has Neural Processing Unit also known as NPU which specializes in the acceleration of Machine Learning for performing tasks related to Artificial Intelligence. Also, we have known that Honor Play is known for its gaming prowess due to its GPU Turbo technology.
It is also worth noting that the Honor Play was launched exclusively on Amazon.in in India and the smartphone is also available from Honor’s official store which can be visited at hihonor.com/in. Another thing that is worth noting is that the Honor Play has a dual camera setup on the back which is a 16MP + 2MP snapper.
Honor claims that the dual camera setup of the Honor Play is capable of turning regular photos into professional photography. There is also a presence of ‘Smart Technology’ which automatically identifies scene types and optimizes the photos according to it.
Also, there is a 360-degree face unlock on the Honor Play as well which Honor claims is “Ultra-fast”. This means that you can hold the smartphone in any position and your face will be detected.
Coming to the display of the Honor Play, it has a notch and the aspect ratio of the device is 19:9. Honor claims that the Honor Play’s display has an 89% screen to body ratio which is quite impressive.
Coming back to the latest color variant of the Honor Play which is the Ultraviolet color variant, this variant will be available starting October 3 on Amazon India exclusively. The price of this variant is same as the other variants and the Honor Play Ultraviolet variant will be available for Rs. 19,999.
