The Motorola Edge 70 Plus is Motorola's latest attempt to grab your attention, and after going through the spec sheet, there is a fair bit here worth talking about. Announced in 2026, September 03, it arrives at a time when the competition is as tight as ever.
Design & Display
The Motorola Edge 70 Plus comes with a 6.78 inches, 112.4 cm 2 (~91.3% screen-to-body ratio) display, pushing a resolution of 1272 x 2772 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~450 ppi density), which is more than sharp enough for everyday use, streaming and a bit of gaming. It is not trying to reinvent the wheel with its design, but it does look the part. You can pick it up in a few finishes, including Pantone: Mountain View.
Performance & Software
At the heart of it sits the Qualcomm SM7635 Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 (4 nm), paired with 8GB of RAM, which means smooth scrolling, quick app switching and no real hiccups in normal use. It runs Android 16, up to 3 major OS updates out of the box, so the software experience feels current.
Camera
On the camera side, the Motorola Edge 70 Plus is led by a 200 MP main sensor. It is not a pro camera rig, but for everyday memories it gets the job done nicely.
Battery
There is a 6500 mAh battery inside, which should comfortably see most people through a full day on a single charge.
Our Opinion
So, what do we actually make of the Motorola Edge 70 Plus? Motorola has clearly gone for substance over gimmicks here, and we respect that approach. It gets the basics right, offering strong battery life, a dependable main camera, a crisp display, which is exactly what most buyers are really after. If your priority is a phone that just works, day in and day out, then this one deserves a spot on your shortlist. There are rivals that beat it in one area or another, as is always the case in this segment. Even so, the Motorola Edge 70 Plus holds its own and represents a solid, no-nonsense buy.
