Display

Xiaomi Mi Max has a 6.44 inches screen with full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The display type is IPS LCD. The screen density is 342 pixels per inch in this wide screen. This is above average. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

CPU and GPU

There are two types of Processors available as variants in Xiaomi Mi Max. It is not any huge difference. The first one is Snapdragon 650 Hexa-core processor and second is Snapdragon 652 Octa-core processor. Functions wise, there is no significant difference between these two. The GPU in Xiaomi Mi Max is Adreno 510. This is good supportive and powerful graphical processor.

RAM and Storage

There are two RAM variants available in Xiaomi Mi Max. They are 3GB and 4GB. The storage also available in 32GB and 64GB with 3GB of RAM and 128GB Only available with 4GB of RAM. There is also microSd card slot (SIM 2) to add more storage up to 200GB.

The display is very well optimized for an above 6 inches device. The screen density of 342ppi could be felt on day to day use. Corning Gorilla Glass 4 addition is the real value for money in Xiaomi Mi Max.

Looking at the hardware, we have two options Snapdragon 650 and 652. Practically, there would be no great difference in between these two. Both are powerful and can capable of processing many most wanted functions. But, still these processors cannot be compared with Snapdragon 820, which is more powerful yet.

The RAM option is 3GB or 4GB. A 4GB is only needed in case of using heavy graphical apps and games in a regular day-to-day basis. Otherwise, a 3GB RAM is good enough and also save few bucks. Camera is good in the rear and bad in the front. Battery is awesome with massive capacity, which is most wanted for a 6.44 inches smartphone.

Overall, we are impressed with Xiaomi Mi Max ‘s reasonable price for this performance oriented Phablet.
