Samsung Galaxy Note 8 image leaks hints it will have an iris scanner

The South Korean electronics giant is in the news again for a number of its upcoming devices. The most awaited is its flagship device – Galaxy Note 8. Rumors are flying that Galaxy Note 8 will be released in August at the IFA 2017 show floor.

Some leaks have given us a rough idea of what the Galaxy Note 8 will look like and what will be its features. The Note 8 will have a 13 MP twin camera at its rear. Latest leaks suggest that it will arrive with a bezel-less design and there will be an Iris scanner also. Iris scanner was first featured in Galaxy Note 7. It will be an added security feature along with the fingerprint scanner on the device. The device will have a 6.4-inch curved display something akin to the Galaxy S-8 series. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 836 SoC, and it will be marginally faster than its predecessor.

It will also feature a dual 13 MP camera sensors at the rear. Rumors also talk about Samsung working on three different dual camera modules. We have already seen dual camera setup in Galaxy C10. We will have to wait to figure out the third dual camera set up

The Galaxy Note 7 was launched with much fanfare, but very soon the mood changed after reports of spontaneous ignition. The issue became so critical that Samsung had to recall twice the handset globally. It has now stopped selling Galaxy Note 7 and has promised to mend things so that such problems do not happen with Galaxy Note 8.

Sammobile has predicted that Galaxy Note 8 will be unveiled at the Berlin’s annual IFA Technology trade show. The event will take place in between September 1-6 later this year, and in the past, it has been the platform for the launch of many Samsung products.

However all these are rumors, and there is no way to verify or authenticate these stories, and as usual, Samsung has not commented on any of these rumors.
