Samsung Flip Phone: Galaxy Folder 3 With SM-9298 Surfaced On TENAA

If rumors are to be believed, Samsung is gearing up to launch a new Flip phone with model number SM-9298. According to reports, a new smartphone with flip model and model SM-9298 has been spotted on TENAA. There are reports that the rumored handset should be Galaxy Folder 3. As of writing this, we don’t have any information about when the new Samsung Flip phone will hit the retail shelves.

Based on the design renders obtained from TENAA, the upcoming phone will be a successor to the Galaxy Folder 2 launched in 2016. You can expect budget specifications in the Folder series of smartphones. If you look at the W-series flip smartphones, it ships with dual display and specifications equal to that of the flagship device.

The rumored highlight of the Samsung Galaxy Folder 3 is the integration of a metal body coupled with a glossy back cover. However, the previous counterpart was shipped with a textured finish back cover.

On the specifications front, the Galaxy Folder 3 will ship with Exynos processor instead of Snapdragon 425 in the Galaxy Folder 2 handset. Even though display size is not yet known, you can expect a slightly larger 4-inch WVGA display, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing snapper powered by a 2500mAh battery.

Expected to ship with a customized version of TouchWiz UI based on Android Nougat, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Folder 3 will feature a T9 keyboard in the touchscreen era. Moreover, the handset will also offer a dual SIM card slots paired with 4G LTE connectivity.

While the rear camera will feature LED flash, we don’t have any credible data about the selfie snapper. However, we expect the smartphone to feature a decent camera sensor on both rear and front side. If you look at the TENAA image, the phone looks bulky as well. Moreover, the rumored Samsung Flip phone will also bear a fingerprint scanner alongside a dedicated heart rate sensor.

According to rumors, the Samsung Galaxy Folder 3 will be sold in those countries which has a major share for the flip phones. Hence, the phone will be made available in China and South Korea. To recall, Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 was launched in September 2016 with model number SM-G1600.
