Nokia 9 gets  FCC certification, 5.3-inch display, dual-SIM and micro-SD support on cards

HMD Global’s flagship Nokia 9 is finally ready to hit the shelves and has passed US based certification website FCC. So the existence of the device is confirmed and so are the features. The Nokia 9 will be a twin SIM smartphone and will feature micro-SD card slot for augmenting the storage space.

The device is believed to have a display of 5.3 inches, but the resolution is not clear. The Nokia 9 has already cleared the EA Union, and Bluetooth certifications and the device figured in the benchmark website Geekbench revealing a lot of features. The device will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU and 4Gigga of RAM and will include a dual-camera setup with primary rear camera boasting Carl Zeiss optics. The device will be compatible with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 technology.

The Nokia 9 has the model no TA-1004 will be following its predecessors like the Nokia 6, the Nokia 5 and the Nokia 3 and will complete the HMD Global’s inventory for 2017. It is not clear that this will be the last Smartphone to be launched this year by the company.

The company is launching Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3 in India on June 13. It has already introduced the Nokia 3310 (2017) in India, and Nokia 6 will be carrying a price tag below 20,000 while 5 and three will be around Rs 10,000 range.

The Nokia 6 boasts an all metal smartphone with a 5.5-inch 1080p display and is run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and 3GB ROM which can be augmented to 128GB courtesy a microSD card slot. The device is fueled by a 3,000mAh battery and supports fast charging. Nokia 6 has a 16 MP primary rear camera and is endowed with /2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Autofocus and dual-LED flash. The device has a secondary camera of 8 MP on the front for video calling.

Nokia 5 is a watered down version of Nokia 6 with a display of 5.2-inch 720p and is run by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor complemented with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. It works on a 3,000mAh battery. It has a primary 13 MP camera and an 8MP secondary camera.

The last in the inventory is the Nokia 3 and comes with a polycarbonate body and has a five 720p display, a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor complemented by 2GB RAM and a 16GB internal memory. It has an 8 MP camera primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus and LED flash and a 8 MP front camera.
