Specs and Details of Moto G4

Display

Moto G4 has IPS LCD display and full HD resolution in a 5.5 inches screen. The screen is covered by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection.

CPU and GPU

Moto G4 has Snapdragon 617 Octa-core processor chipset with 1.5GHz clock speed. It is coupled with the Adreno 405 GPU.

RAM and Storage

There is a 2GB of RAM in Moto G4. No choices in RAM available. But, the Internal Storage has choice of 16GB or 32GB. There is also card slot to expand the storage up to 128GB using microSD card.

Software

The operating system of Moto G4 is Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, the latest version of Android.

Camera

The rear camera featured a 13MP sensor with Autofocus and dual tone –dual LED flash. It records videos maximum at the resolution of 1080p. The front camera is an average 5MP and it featured Auto-HDR function.

Battery

The battery of Moto G4 has 3000mAh capacity. Moto G4 also capable of fast battery charging.

Other Features and Connectivity

The Connectivity features are GPRS, Edge, 3G, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Radio and micro USB. There is no Fingerprint scanner in Moto G4.

Quick Review of Moto G4

The display is as usual the same specs with 5.5 inches screen and full HD. This is always a good display. The Corning Gorilla Glass 3 adds the advantage for this display with its protection. Snapdragon 617, Adreno 405, 2GB RAM and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow combined to make a good mid-level performing smartphone. This works good for gaming (except heavy), multitasking and long term of use.

Camera in rear is just good with its features of autofocus and extra flash and the front is average. Battery is good for this midlevel smartphone. It can stand for more than one day easily on causal usage.

Pros and Cons of Moto G4

Pros

  • Good Mid-level performance
  • Good value for money (In case of same price of predecessor)

 

Cons

  • No Fingerprint Scanner
  • Front Camera is just an average

Opinion to Buyers –  Moto G4

This smartphone can only be looked on the Value for Money. The Moto G4 Plus has almost same specs but it has choices for higher RAM and has good Camera in the rear than this.
