LG X Cam released in May 2016. LG is aggressively releasing smartphones in all the price ranges in the recent months. This LG X Cam is targeted for the midrange price category and with a highlight of two cameras on the rear side. Along with the front camera, it is a total of three cameras on this smartphone. Display
The screen size is 5.2 inches. It has a 68% of Screen to body ratio. This is a bit low though not bad. The screen resolution is 1080 x 1920 pixels of full HD. This makes the display sharp and detail. There is no Corning Gorilla Glass to protect the screen.
CPU and GPU
LG X Cam carries an Octa-core processor with the 1.14GHz processor. The make of the processor is not mentioned clearly. Also, it could be varied based on region. The GPU information is also not clear as of now. (Note: We will update the CPU and GPU details once we got official specs from LG). We expect the Adreno, Mali or PowerVR to be the GPU in LG.
RAM and Storage
There is a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. The storage can be expanded using micro SD card up to 128GB.
Software
The latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow is preloaded in LG X Cam.
Camera
There are two primary cameras on the rear side. The first camera is 13 MP and the second is 5 MP. The video capture can be done with a 1080 pixel quality. The front camera has an 8 MP camera, which is above average for the selfie clicks. There is a question over the need for two cameras in the rear which is unanswered yet. Until the advantage for the end users in having the two cameras cleared, there is no advantage to it.
Battery
LG X Cam powered by a 2520mAh battery. This backup expectation on heavy usage for this battery is about 6-7 hours.
Other Features and Connectivity
There is no special feature observed in LG X Cam. The usual Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 4G LTE, NFC are present.
Price
LG X Cam price is around 230 Euros / Indian Rs.16,000 / US $275. Price may vary based on regional taxes.

Opinion to Buyers – LG X Cam
Overall this phone keeps an enough performing capacity with all midrange configurations. Buyers have to look into the factor such as Brand value, value for money and personal expectations before buying this phone. Looking at the price, there is no value for money. It is clear that LG is betting on its brand value. Now-a-days the Chinese giants like Lenovo, Huawei, Xiaomi are producing promising gadgets. So, LG X Cam’s price is not competitive.
