HTC One S9 released in May 2016. After the grand success of HTC 10 in the market, HTC is coming with S9 in the HTC One series. The first impression on HTC One S9 is not so good after the design. The design looks very old, and the same is expressed in the various Mobile forums. HTC is well known for bringing failures on their own.
We have seen it in the past in some of their models with a complete flop. At the same time, we cannot ignore HTC simply away in respect of their stand in the Mobile phone industry for a long time. Now we have look specs and other details of HTC One S9 below.

Display
The display is made of Super LCD touchscreen with a 5 inches screen size. The screen resolution is 1080 x 1920 pixels of full HD, which make the screen density to the extreme of 441 pixels per inch. This brings more sharpness to the screen pixels. The 5 inches screen is also protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass.
CPU and GPU
HTC One S9 has the popular Helio X10 Octa core processor from MediaTek with a clock speed of 2.0GHz frequency. It is coupled with the PowerVR G6200. This combination comes under usual mid-range smartphones. This combo has a good track record so far.
RAM and Storage
This device comes with a 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of inbuilt storage. There is a micro SD card slot to add up to 200 GB of storage.
Software
HTC One S9 is pre-loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow over the skin of HTC Sense UI.
Camera
The rear side camera is a 13 MP one with Optical Image Stabilization, autofocus and dual LED – dual tone flash. It captures video with quality of 1080 pixels @30fps and 720 pixels @120fps. The front camera is relatively low with a 4 MP sensors.
Battery
A 2840mAh battery is powering this phone. This is as usual a non-removable type battery. On the heavy continuous use, we can expect this battery can give backup for 7-8 hours.
Other Features and Connectivity
First of all the missed features are Fingerprint sensors and USB type C. Other than this, the usual features such as Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi, 4G LTE, NFC are present. The special one to be noted is the Dolby Audio, which enhances the audio experience.

The approximate price is 500 Euros (US $ 575 / Indian Rs.38,000).
Performance Expectation of HTC One S9
The hardware performance is as we told will be good and above average. We can expect even the more graphical games to run well in this smartphone. RAM is only a 2GB which is again an average capacity only. Overall, we can expect decent performance but not a super fast function.

Opinion to Buyers – HTC One S9
This smartphone is a midrange after we looked its specs. But, the price is completely opposite to the specs. For the same specs, we can buy Xiaomi or Lenovo or Huawei phones for $250 sub. I don’t think this hectic price is a good move from HTC. Maybe, some HTC fans or people who have no idea on smartphone price trend may fall into this HTC’ price pit. We also expect this price to be fall soon. In case, it fall around 300 Euros (US $300+), then we can think buying it. Otherwise, it is just a hole in the pocket.
