CPU and GPU

Gionee M2017 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 Octa-core processor (4×1.95 GHz Cortex-A72 & 4×1.4 GHz Cortex-A53) along with Adreno 510 GPU.                   

RAM and Storage

The memory section of Gionee M2017 has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The card slot is not available.

The operating system of Gionee M2017 is Amigo 3.5 OS which is developed based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Gionee M2017 Review

The specs of Gionee M2017 is only 50% of the price tag while the remaining price is for the luxurious design. The design is eye catchy and the aesthetic is brilliant in overall appearance and the metal expression.

Coming to the specs, the first hole that catch the eye is Snapdragon 653 CPU. While it is not a top grade CPU in the market, we wonder how Gionee chose the mid-level SD 653 for this premium smartphone. The display cannot support 4K video as far as we know, because of the SD 653 CPU.

The remaining specs are awesome but there is a question that how the 6GB RAM, dual 12MP + 13MP cameras are going to be handled by the SD 653 CPU. The idea of having two 3500mAh is brilliant and helpful for long time use.

Display is extreme in specs with a stunning 515ppi pixel density. The missing card slot is acceptable as there is 128GB of internal storage. Amigo 3.5, a skin of Marshmallow is not acceptable in a premium model smartphone with a costly price tag.
