Specs and Details of Docoss X1

Display

The screen size is 4 inches which is not bad for Rs.888 phone. Screen resolution is 400 x 480. The display is made of TFT-LCD which is old type touchscreen. It may cause some issues in touch like lagging and poor interference. The pixel density is 233ppi which is not bad.

CPU and GPU

Docoss X1 sports a 1.2GHz dual core processor. It is mentioned there is a GPU included, but we are not sure about the type and configuration of that GPU. Dual core 1.2GHz processor is also good for this low price.

RAM and Storage

This smartphone has a 1GB of RAM which may took more than half for the Android Kitkat version. The storage is very much low with just a 4GB. Fortunately, there is a microSD card slot to increase the storage up to 32GB.

Software

The operating system is luckily Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. For the core functionality of Android, Kitakt is the best one for this low range phone. Because Kitkat version is the change of Android to a complete next level. Hence, the decision of having Kitkat is good and we are not going to worry about this phone not having Lollipop or Marshmallow.

Camera

The rear side is having a 2 MP camera and the front is having a 0.3 MP camera. The 2 MP camera is just there to capture the pics with low clarity. We can at least use it for some time. But, the front one is unacceptable with the 0.3 MP.

Battery

The battery capacity is 1300mAh. The capacity is good for this low end device. But, there is a doubt over the quality and reliability of the battery. Because we have seen many batteries mentioning 2000mAh capacity only stands for 2-3 hours during the beginning era of smartphones.

Other Features and Connectivity

This phone has a dual SIM option and also has 3G support. There is no 4G support. Other features also limited. It has WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth.

Price

The price is as mentioned Rs.888. But, this price is exclusive of taxes. So, the people who buy this have to pay more than Rs.888.

Performance Expectation of Docoss X1

Most of the applications and games won’t work in this device mainly because of the low screen resolution. We cannot expect any good performance in this device.

Pros and Cons of Docoss X1

Pros

  • Nothing

Cons

  • Total waste of time and money

Opinion to Buyers –  Docoss X1

Docoss announced SMS order for this phone (or Smartphone!?). So, the buyers can pay cash after they received the phone. This is the only thing proving they may not be a scam. But, with the usability of a touchscreen phone, this is of no use. For the same price, there are many old model keypad phones (without touchscreen) available in the market. They are more usable than this one.
