Apple has added another interesting option to its lineup with the all-new Apple iPhone Air, and on paper it looks like a device that wants to be your daily driver. Announced in 2025, September 09, it arrives at a time when the competition is as tight as ever.
Design & Display
The Apple iPhone Air comes with a 6.5 inches, 104.9 cm 2 (~89.9% screen-to-body ratio) display, pushing a resolution of 1260 x 2736 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~460 ppi density). Colours look punchy and text stays clean, so you will not have much to complain about here. It is not trying to reinvent the wheel with its design, but it does look the part. You can pick it up in a few finishes, including Space Black.
Performance & Software
Under the hood you will find the Apple A19 Pro (3 nm), paired with 12GB of RAM. That combination should handle day-to-day multitasking and most games without breaking a sweat. It runs iOS 26, upgradable to iOS 27 out of the box, so the software experience feels current.
Camera
The camera setup is one of the talking points here, with a 48 MP sensor doing the heavy lifting. Point-and-shoot results are reliable, and that is exactly what most buyers want.
Battery
Battery duties are handled by a Li-Ion 3149 mAh unit. With moderate use you can expect to end the day with charge to spare.
Our Opinion
So, what do we actually make of the Apple iPhone Air? This is a phone that does not try to be the flashiest option on the shelf, and honestly that works in its favour. It gets the basics right, offering a dependable main camera, a crisp display, which is exactly what most buyers are really after. In day-to-day use it feels like the kind of device you can rely on, whether you are replying to messages, scrolling through social media, watching videos or taking the odd photo. There are rivals that beat it in one area or another, as is always the case in this segment. Overall though, the Apple iPhone Air is easy to recommend to the right buyer.
