Apple has added another interesting option to its lineup with the all-new Apple iPhone 15 Plus, and on paper it looks like a device that wants to be your daily driver. Announced in 2023, September 12, it arrives at a time when the competition is as tight as ever.
Design & Display
The Apple iPhone 15 Plus comes with a 6.7 inches, 110.2 cm 2 (~88.0% screen-to-body ratio) display, pushing a resolution of 1290 x 2796 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~460 ppi density). Colours look punchy and text stays clean, so you will not have much to complain about here. In terms of design, the Apple iPhone 15 Plus keeps things modern and comfortable to hold. You can pick it up in a few finishes, including Black.
Performance & Software
Under the hood you will find the Apple A16 Bionic (4 nm), paired with 6GB of RAM, which means smooth scrolling, quick app switching and no real hiccups in normal use. It runs iOS 17, upgradable to iOS 27 out of the box, so the software experience feels current.
Camera
The camera setup is one of the talking points here, with a 48 MP sensor doing the heavy lifting. It is not a pro camera rig, but for everyday memories it gets the job done nicely.
Battery
Keeping the lights on is a Li-Ion 4383 mAh cell. With moderate use you can expect to end the day with charge to spare.
Our Opinion
After spending time with the spec sheet and what Apple is promising, here is where we land. Apple has clearly gone for substance over gimmicks here, and we respect that approach. It gets the basics right, offering a dependable main camera, a crisp display, which is exactly what most buyers are really after. If your priority is a phone that just works, day in and day out, then this one deserves a spot on your shortlist. Is it perfect? No phone is, and you will always find a sharper camera or a faster chip somewhere else for a little more money. Overall though, the Apple iPhone 15 Plus is easy to recommend to the right buyer.
