Apple has added another interesting option to its lineup with the all-new Apple iPhone 13 Pro, and on paper it looks like a device that wants to be your daily driver. Announced in 2021, September 14, it arrives at a time when the competition is as tight as ever.
Design & Display
The Apple iPhone 13 Pro comes with a 6.1 inches, 90.2 cm 2 (~86.0% screen-to-body ratio) display, pushing a resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio (~460 ppi density). Colours look punchy and text stays clean, so you will not have much to complain about here. It is not trying to reinvent the wheel with its design, but it does look the part. You can pick it up in a few finishes, including Graphite.
Performance & Software
Under the hood you will find the Apple A15 Bionic (5 nm), paired with 6GB of RAM. For the kind of tasks most of us throw at a phone, there is plenty of muscle here. It runs iOS 15, upgradable to iOS 27 out of the box, so the software experience feels current.
Camera
Photography is handled by a main 12 MP shooter that should cover most situations, from daylight shots to the occasional low-light frame. It is not a pro camera rig, but for everyday memories it gets the job done nicely.
Battery
Keeping the lights on is a Li-Ion 3095 mAh (12.11 Wh) cell, which should comfortably see most people through a full day on a single charge.
Our Opinion
Coming to the important bit, our opinion on the Apple iPhone 13 Pro. What you are getting is a device that quietly covers the fundamentals rather than shouting about them. It gets the basics right, offering a dependable main camera, a crisp display, which is exactly what most buyers are really after. In day-to-day use it feels like the kind of device you can rely on, whether you are replying to messages, scrolling through social media, watching videos or taking the odd photo. There are rivals that beat it in one area or another, as is always the case in this segment. Overall though, the Apple iPhone 13 Pro is easy to recommend to the right buyer.
