Set Your Calendars for Google Pixel and Pixel XL

India will be among the first countries where the Pixel smartphone duo will be launched. Pre-orders have already started through major retailers such as Reliance Digital, Chroma, and Flipkart. Until recently, the launch of the new smartphones was still not sure, but now the long wait is over. Google announced that the Google Pixel XL and the Google Pixel will begin shipping by the 25th of October.

In a tweet, Google India stated that “The future is exciting. And by future we mean 3 days from now. #Pixel will start reaching stores on 25th October #madebygoogle”. It was also revealed during the event that India will be among the first six countries to see the smartphones reach their markets. The other countries include Germany, Australia, Canada, UK, and US. It is rather unfortunate, though, that the impressive Really Blue color variant of the smartphone is not yet going to be available in India. However, not all is lost because the Very Silver and the Quite Black will start being shipped on Tuesday.

For the prices, the Pixel 32GB will be at around Rs. 57,000. You can get the Pixel XL 32GB at Rs. 67,000. While the 128GB variants will cost you a bit more at Rs. 66,000 for Pixel and Rs. 76,000 for Pixel XL

As for the specs, Pixel XL and Pixel are almost the same. The display size is different though. For Pixel, you get a 5-inch full HD display. For Pixel XL, you get a 5.5-inch QHD display. The Pixel has a 2770mAh battery while the Pixel XL has a 3450mAh battery. The other specs of the smartphones include the Pixel Imprint fingerprint sensor, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, an 8-megapixel front camera with a Sony IMX179 sensor, and a 12.3-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX378 sensor.
